Company Information
Founded in 2014 by HIDCL, RHL is a strategic subsidiary tasked with overseeing the flagship Project: Ghunsa Khola Hydroelectric Project. Our mission goes beyond energy generation; it aims to leverage remittance funds, involving migrant workers as stakeholders in national development. This innovative approach aligns with the government's strategy to democratize hydroelectric investment, empowering the diaspora and contributing to national GDP growth.
GKHEP, a focal point in Nepal's energy landscape, gained recognition in the "Janatako Jalawidhyut Karyakram," emphasizing its significance in national energy goals. Originally structured with 51% equity of HIDCL, a strategic MoU recalibrated RHL's shareholding. HIDCL's equity stands at 15%, with NEA holding 21%. The most recent change has again recalibrated the shareholding of VUCL to 12% and brought Koshi Province as well, which holds 3% stake in the company, collectively forming a 51% equity stake in the company.
